September 1861... an Artillery unit formed out of Lone Rock, Wisconsin. They were answering a call of their country to fight in what we now call the Civil War. As a Wisconsin-based artillery unit we have chosen to represent the 6th Battery and honor the history of the unit.

The A-Tent
This is an A-Tent. During
the Civil War an Artillery Unit would have used this tent and
was shared by at least 4 men,
possibly more. In our modern day use it houses one or two soldiers,
usually with cots. Our clothing and food may be stored underneath. Yes
we do sleep well like this. We don't go to motels, and our food is cooked
over the fire in cast iron or tin skillets.
