The A-Tent

This is an  A-Tent.  During the Civil War an Artillery Unit would have used this tent and
was shared by at least 4 men, possibly more.  In our modern day use it houses one or two soldiers, usually with cots. Our clothing and food may be stored underneath. Yes we do sleep well like this.  We don't go to motels, and our food is cooked over the fire in cast iron or tin skillets.

Big Family Homestead experiences the Civil War

Our Unit was so honored to have a You Tube Family come to Pine Crest Village in Manitowoc WI on Sunday June 2.  They featured some of the Historic Buildings of the Park and the Battle that took place between the North and the South.  The Unit on Artillery starts around the 16 minute mark.  If you can see it all, enjoy Brad and his family.
To see this video go to Big Family Homestead in the links. God Bless DeRosia Family.
